Intention
This project is to create a bot with programming language Ruby. The goal is to get familiar with coding and usages of gems. My online application is called LeiaTheBot, she is a Pekingnese dog assistant. Users can talk to her and she can chat with you about some easy conversations.

Context

Leia is mainly a giphy finder, and users can request some gifs from her from inputting keywords. For now, it can just answer some easy questions and tell jokes.

Process

I have continuously worked in my file from the very first week and did some improvements with Daragh's tutorials online. There are lots of struggles during my programming process, and many got figured out by debugging with friends and teachers. One thing I learned is to be super careful since many mistakes are from tiny things. 

Product

A user can test the application here at https://mighty-headland-11246.herokuapp.com/about. It can react to "Hi, Who, What, Where, When, Jokes, and Facts", and it can send people gifs back if users try to type in something.

Reflection

This is my first time to design a product with no visual interfaces. Knowing about the power of programming and API, I got more interested in conversational design.  Since it is a trend for next-generation interactive design, I might try to read more in this area and get another programming class next semester.
