Initial Product Proposal

Family cookbooks are cherished possessions which currently do a great job of recording recipes but not so great of a job recording memories associated with those meals.  Each birthday cake is accompanied by a birthday experience. Each clam chowder is coupled with a cozy couple on a wintery night by the fire.  So many memories are started with or centered around food.  Our product allows family member to share those memories with an IoT cookbook and 2 auxiliary components.

The user opens the cookbook to search for the desired recipe.  Each recipe page has a tactile sensor button called "Preview" which the user can push to have a preview of the recipe smell emit from a mounted scent generator in the kitchen.  Along with a scent, the user has a 4x6 sheet of photo paper  stuck to their refrigerator which changes images to show the last family member who enjoyed that recipe and a memorable image of that moment.  The user the selects to begin making the dish.  Now photos that they take will be sent to the cookbook cloud and displayed for future viewers of that recipe.  It allows family members to see more than just photos of the dish, but all of the memories associated with it within all the owners of the family cookbook.  It's making the cookbook enchanted again.
